A82 crash update: One person taken to hospital after 2-vehicle collision south of Inverness at Dochgarroch

One person has been taken to hospital following a two-vehicle crash on the A82.

The collision occurred south of Inverness at Dochgarroch at around 12.10pm and partially blocked the busy A82 trunk road.

Emergency services rushed to the scene.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 12.10pm on Wednesday, police received a report of a two-vehicle crash on the A82 near Dochgarroch.

“One person was taken to hospital for treatment and recovery was arranged.”

Two fire engines were also dispatched by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service after being requested to attend the scene by police at 12.32pm.

A spokesperson for the Scottish Ambulance Service said: “We received a call at 12.26pm to attend a two-vehicle road traffic collision on the A82 at Dochgarroch.

“An ambulance and a critical care paramedic were dispatched to the scene, and one patient was conveyed to Raigmore Hospital.”

The condition of the person taken to hospital has not yet been revealed.

Traffic Scotland has warned motorists to "use caution on approach and expect delays".
