Kessock Bridge - key section of A9 linking Inverness and the Black Isle - reopened four hours after ‘police incident’

Kessock Bridge reopened just before 11pm last night following an earlier reported police incident.

The key A9 road link was initially closed northbound at around 7.13pm before being shut in in both directions from about 8.49pm.

Emergency services were at the scene and people were urged to avoid the area.

It is unclear what the police incident was and what action was taken.
