TRAINS between Glasgow and Inverness are now running as scheduled, after previous disruption this morning (February 4) after a vehicle struck a bridge.

The vehicle, which struck Garry Viaduct bridge between Dalwhinnie and Blair Atholl earlier today, caused train services between Glasgow Queen Street and Inverness to be “delayed or revised”.

After an assessment of the site from Network Rail Scotland, they have confirmed it is now safe for trains to run.

Network Rail Scotland said: “Garry Viaduct has now been inspected and is safe for trains to run. Services can now pass through as normal. Thanks for your patience!”

ScotRail said: “Services are now running as scheduled, we are trying to recover our service and get things back to normal as fast as we can and apologise for the disruption to your service during this time.”
