UPDATE: A9 reopens near Dornoch after crash





The A9 has reopened between Dornoch and Golspie following closure in both directions caused by a road accident this afternoon.

The crash was reported at about 3.15pm, with emergency services rushing to the scene at the junction with the B9168.

It is not known as yet whether there were any casualties.

Traffic Scotland, the agency that monitors Scotland's trunk roads, is reporting that the road is now fully open and that traffic congestion in the area is easing.
