UPDATE: A9 reopens in both directions between Brora and Helmsdale following earlier crash at Lothbeg, Traffic Scotland confirms

THE A9 has reopened in both directions following an earlier two-vehicle crash between Brora and Helmsdale

Traffic Scotland had announced the closure of the road shortly before 9am, following the earlier collision at Lothbeg.

But at 9.30am it Tweeted to confirm that the road had now reopened in both directions and “all lanes [are] now running”.
