UPDATE: A9 reopens at B9176 Skiach service junction after earlier crash, confirms Traffic Scotland

A busy Highland trunk road has reopened to traffic following an earlier two-vehicle crash, Traffic Scotland has confirmed.

The A9 in Easter Ross was closed in both directions at its junction with the Skiach services and B9176 Struie road shortly after 1pm.

Emergency services were in attendance and motorists were advised to avoid the area.

There was no immediate word on whether there were any injuries.

And, in an update shortly before 6pm, Traffic Scotland confirmed that the scene was now clear and traffic was flowing again.
