UPDATE: A9 near Aviemore reopens after collision





The A9 has reopened after having been restricted in both directions following a car crash north of Aviemore.

According to Traffic Scotland’s website the road is now clear after having been restricted since around 1.30pm for about an hour after a collision near the junction with the A95 at Granish.

Firefighters were also in attendance, with one appliance sent to the scene. A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said they left the scene shortly before 2pm.

Police Scotland has been contacted for information.
