A city street has been partially cordoned off due to conerns about an unstable chimney breast.

Montague Row was partly closed this afternoon with a crack visible on the roof of a building in the street.

Police said the road was closed as a precaution while they evaluate the safety of the building.

The crack in the chimney could be seen above the bakery on the corner of Montague Row and Tomnahurich Street.
