Highland man gets unpaid community work for assaulting his ex

A 42-year-old Croy man was ordered to carry out 200 hours of unpaid community work and banned from contacting his partner or ex partner for 18 months.
Tristan Stiles, of Cantray Square, was found guilty after trial at Inverness Sheriff Court last month of assaulting his former partner on August 15 at a house in Balloch.

He was convicted by Sheriff Gary Aitken of repeatedly striking her on her head, repeatedly punching her on the head and body which caused her to fall on the floor all to her injury.
