Police have appealed for help tracing two young boys after a shed and fence were deliberately set on fire in an Inverness neighbourhood.

Officers are investigating after the incident of wilful fireraising in Drynie Avenue, Hilton, at around 4.30pm on Sunday,

The fire was extinguished by firefighters and there were no injuries.

A police spokesperson said: “We are keen to talk to two young boys who were in the lane that runs to the rear of properties on Drynie Avenue shortly prior to the fire.

“Both boys are described as being about 4ft, slim build and one boy was wearing a black tracksuit and the other was wearing a white t shirt and grey tracksuit bottoms.

“Similarly, if you have CCTV or video doorbells and you live nearby, please check in case you captured anything that could assist our enquiries.

“If you can help, please get in touch quoting ‘incident 2608 of May 18’.”.
