Two women arrested as police seize £42k worth of cannabis in Inverness





Police seized £42,000 worth of cannabis and £4000 of cash when arresting and charging two women in Inverness yesterday.

Police executed a drugs search warrant in the Culloden area at around 9am yesterday.

The woman – both aged 32 – are expected to appear at Inverness Sheriff Court in due course.

Detective Constable Ellie Logan said: “This proactive operation led to the recovery of a significant quantity of controlled drugs. We remain committed to disrupting the supply and sale of drugs in our Highland communities and preventing the misery it brings.

“Anyone who has information or concerns about drugs should contact Police Scotland via 101 or make a call anonymously to the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
