Culloden Battlefield crash: Two people in Raigmore Hospital following crash on B9006 Inverness-Croy road at the crossroads near Leanach
Two people were taken to hospital and a further five treated at the scene following a two-car crash near the Culloden Battlefield.
The crash, which involved a black Ford SUV and a silver hatchback, took place on the B9006 at the crossroads near Leanach at around 1.40pm on Thursday.
Police, fire and ambulance crews all attended.
A spokesperson for the Scottish Ambulance Service said: We received a call at 1.41pm today to attend a road traffic collision on the B9006.
“We dispatched several resources to the scene and transported two patients to Raigmore Hospital. A further five patients were treated and discharged at the scene.”
The condition of the two patients taken to hospital was not described.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service sent two appliances, both from Inverness, after receiving a call at 1.53pm.
Confirming that the B9006 had been closed in both direction following the crash, a police spokesperson said: “The B9006 is closed between Newlands of Culloden and Westhill due to a two-vehicle crash near Leanach that happened around 1.45pm on Thursday, May 15.
“Emergency services are in attendance and road users are advised to avoid the area and seek alternative routes.”
