TV debate show comes to Inverness

Inverness College UHI will host the TV debate this weekend.

BBC Scotland’s new discussion programme, Debate Night, will be recorded at Inverness College UHI on Sunday (May 19).

Hosted by Stephen Jardine, he said: "Debate Night offers a unique chance for people to question politicians and key decision makers.

"Alongside the big national issues every part of Scotland has local concerns and I’m really looking forward to meeting the audience in Inverness and helping them put their points to the people in power."

No details are available yet on who will feature on the panel.

Previous episodes have included Scotland's health secretary Jeane Freeman and leading businessman and entrepreneur Sir Tom Hunter.

Questions are invited on a host of topics from big party politicial issues to the environment and matters closer to home.
