LNER Inverness to London Kings Cross train service on Friday will use replacement buses to Perth as ScotRail warns of more cancellations and delays between Inverness and Elgin, Aberdeen, Glasgow and Edinburgh





Travellers heading from Inverness on tomorrow’s early (Friday, October 10) LNER London Kings Cross train service will have to use replacement buses between Inverness and Perth.

The long-distance operator has announced that a train fault is to blame for the change.

The latest disruption follows several days of delays and cancellations across Scotland’s rail network due to a Network Scotland signalling fault.

The daily service departs Inverness at 7.55 am.

A third full day of disruption is in store tomorrow (Friday) for ScotRail services, caused by the power issue affecting signalling first identified at 10pm on Tuesday.

That will see six Inverness - Elgin services cancelled, with a risk of delay and cancellation between Inverness and Edinburgh, Glasgow and Aberdeen.

All rail travellers are being advise to check their journeys before travel.
