Craig Duncan, of McDonald’s, and Colin Craig, of Oil and Vinegar, have stepped down from their roles as co-chairs but will continue to serve as directors

Owen McManus, of Marks and Spencer, and Suzanne Ross, of Lush, have retired from the board.

Mr McIntosh said: "Having served as vice chair, my board colleagues have now encouraged and entrusted me to step up as chair. It’s a responsibility I take seriously, and I’m committed to continuing the strong work BID has achieved to date. I look forward to collaborating with the board, BID team and all our wider stakeholders to address the challenges and also to optimise and embrace the opportunities to ensure that BID continues to represent our community and add value to the city centre.”

Mr Kershaw said: "BID has been a key organisation when it comes to actively representing and directly supporting local businesses. Whether an independent or chain, BID has helped to ensure our voices heard, our needs or issues are highlighted and has shown that together we are stronger. BID has also consistently delivered on its business plan, and as co-vice chair, I hope to give something back, to be of service and I especially look forward to working with all our partners and stakeholders going forward.”

Mr Duncan said: "Colin and I are extremely grateful to our board colleagues and the BID team for their dedication to supporting the city centre businesses and our wider community. Despite notable challenges, their professionalism and both their organisational and strategic efforts have been outstanding. We’d also like to thank Owen and Suzanne for their strong contributions, and we wish Gordon and Chris every success in their new roles where they will play a key part in strengthening our BID’s activities in the coming year."
