Three people are due to appear at Inverness Sheriff Court in connection with the supply of class A drugs in the city.

They are a 60-year-old woman from Inverness and a 37-year-old woman and a 24-year-old man, both from Merseyside

Police in Inverness said it follows proactive work in the Merkinch area by officers from Police Scotland’s community investigation unit.

A spokesman said: "Police Scotland will continue to target serious and organised crime groups using county lines within the Highland and Islands area and if any person has any information in relation to drug dealing it is requested that the contact the police on 101 or anonymously at Crimestoppers on 0800555111"
