Total of three new coronavirus cases logged in NHS Highland area over past 24 hours

THREE new coronavirus cases were reported in the NHS Highland area over the past 24 hours.

That brought the seven-day total to 14 cases within the large health authority area.

The daily Scottish Government statistics showed a total of 432 new cases of Covid-19 reported across Scotland over the last day.

There were 28,589 new tests that reported results.

Some 1.6 per cent of these were positive

No new deaths of people tested positive were reported.

Five people were in intensive care yesterday with recently confirmed Covid-19.

In more positive news, 3,063,648 people have received the first dose of the Covid vaccination, according to the stats.

And 1,742,072 have received their second dose.
