Three men remanded in custody after appearing at Inverness Sheriff Court following alleged serious assault

Three men have been remanded in custody after appearing in private at Inverness Sheriff Court following an alleged serious assault in the city at the weekend.

Brandon Denoon (23), Cameron Ross (24) and Stephen Stewart (52) all made no plea to a charge of assault to severe injury and danger of life.

Stewart was also accused of possessing a weapon.

They were all committed for further examination and remanded in custody.

Police Scotland said the men's appearance followed an incident in Woodlands Brae, Inverness, on Saturday evening.

Police have thanked the public for their help in the inquiry.
