Two people were taken to hospital in Inverness following a two-vehicle collision on the A82 on Loch Ness-side this afternoon.

Police and ambulance personnel attended the early afternoon incident at Lochend.

The Scottish Ambulance Service said: “We received a call today at 1.59pm to attend a road traffic collision on the A82 at Dochgarrach.

“We dispatched several resources to the scene, including two ambulances, a critical care paramedic and a paramedic response car.

“We transported two patients to Raigmore Hospital and a further patient was treated at the scene.”

According to Traffic Scotland, both lanes of the busy road were restricted after the crash.

A police spokesperson said: "Officers received reports of a two-vehicle crash in the Lochend Bridge area of the A82.

"Emergency services attended and recovery was arranged."
