A three-car crash is partially blocking the A9 just south of Longman roundabout.

The accident has caused slow-moving traffic and lengthy tailbacks north along the road section.

It is not known yet if anyone was injured in the accident.

A Police Scotland spokesman confirmed: “We were called at 1.20pm to a report of a three-car collision at Longman Road roundabout Inverness.”

A Traffic Scotland spokesman said: “The A9 southbound after Longman roundabout is currently restricted due to a road traffic incident.

“Road users are advised to approach with caution and allow for longer than normal journey times.

“Expect Delays. Traffic is very slow on approach queuing back over the Kessock Bridge.”
