THREE people have appeared in private at Inverness Sheriff Court charged with being concerned in the supply of drugs.

Daniel Howarth (33) and Claire Bradley (43), both Inverness, and Ivan Mackay (43), from Lairg, appeared in private before Sheriff Margaret Neilson on Wednesday. They made no plea. Howarth and Bradley were remanded for further inquiry and Mackay was released on bail.

Their appearance in court followed an earlier police raid on a house in Inverness.

Officers swooped on a property in the Mackay Road area of Inverness, acting on a warrant issued under the Misuse of Drugs Act.

They recovered quantities of Class A drugs valued at more than £1800.

Officers also found more than £17,000 in cash within the property.
