Theme for pride event in Inverness

Proud Ness organisers have announced a family-focused theme for next month’s event.

Organisers aim to encourage families, friends, work colleagues and voluntary groups join the march on July 21in support of the LGBT+ community.

Event organiser Jess Taylor said: “Last year Proud Ness was such a success because it wasn’t just the LGBT+ community who came out in support – it was family, friends, work colleagues, church groups, voluntary organisations and so much more!

“However, and wherever, people feel they belong can feel like family.”

To celebrate the theme, Highland Voices will also perform Sister Sledge’s We Are Family and Freedom by George Michael at Bught Park at the event.

Proud Ness is included in a programme of events that weekend, which includes the city’s Highland Games and gala.
