POLICE have urged people not to leave valuables in their cars after thefts from vehicles in parts of Inverness.

Officers in the Highland capital have appealed for information following the thefts from two vehicles in the Drummond/Lochardil areas.

"Police would request that any suspicious activity or private CCTV footage of suspicious people in the area is highlighted to police," said a spokesman.

"Police would also remind all householders not to leave valuables within their vehicles and ensure all vehicles and outbuildings are kept locked and secured at all times."
