TICKET holders for cinema and theatre performances affected by the Covid pandemic will be contacted “in due course”, Eden Court has said.

The theatre is currently closed due to the latest lockdown and cannot restart screenings until the Highland Council area is placed into Tier 2 or lower. All mainland Scotland areas (and Skye) are currently in Tier 4 - and the Scottish Government this week announced moves to tighten those measures still further. Restrictions on some click-and-collect services, and takeaways come into force on Saturday.

A spokesman for Eden Court said: “Thank you to everyone who supported us when we reopened in October.

“Due to the current restrictions we are now closed and will not reopen until we can re-start our cinema programme. Currently, this will be when the Highland Council region is placed in Tier 2 of the Scottish Government Covid-19 Restrictions Framework. We will be delighted to welcome you back then.

“Audiences with tickets for performances during our closure period will be contacted by us in due course.

“Our ticket sales team are available for inbound calls: Monday – Friday, 11am to 1pm. If you're able to support our recovery by making a donation we would be incredibly grateful.”
