The Shire Band rock The British Legion for Strictly Inverness fundraiser
With the Strictly Inverness dance competition taking place next month, contestants are aiming to top up their fundraising as best they can.
One of the competitors who has been dancing her way up the fundraising table is Natalie Marshall, and on Saturday night she put on a night to remember at The British Legion in Inverness.
The pupil support assistant at the city's Drummond School invited The Shire Band to sing tunes and help guests party the night away – she successfully raised a grand total of £960, during the evening.
Ms Marshall said: "A big thank you to everyone who came out to the event, it was very much appreciated!
"This was our last event to raise funds so it was a great success. People have been so generous when times have been tough for everyone so it does mean a lot."
Ms Marshall and her dance partner Stevie Strang will perform on the Thursday night of the annual competition and they are both looking forward to showing everyone the dances that they have been working hard to learn over the past few months.
Ms Marshall added: "We are so excited to show people what we have learned. We would have loved to have given people a sneak peak on Saturday night but it is very much under wraps."
Strictly Inverness is an annual fundraising event for Highland Hospice and Inverness Ice Centre, which hosts the event on May 10-13.
