Temporary road closures in the South Loch Ness of Inverness–shire for four weeks

Motorists are being advised by Highland Council that there will be various temporary road closures in the South Loch Ness area.

The closures will be in operation Mondays to Fridays, between 8am and 5pm daily, commencing on Monday May 10 2021 until Friday June 4 2021.

The following roads will be closed:

  • B852 Dalcrag Bridge – Foyers – Inverfarigaig – Dores Road, Inverness-shire, closed between its junction with the B862 Fort Augustus – Whitebridge – Torness -Dores – Inverness Road and its junction with the U1217 Loch Garthside – Trinloist – Gleann Liath Road.
  • U1221 Loch Bran – Boleskine – Garthbeg Road, Inverness-shire, closed between its junction with the B862 Fort Augustus – Whitebridge – Torness – Dores – Inverness Road and its junction with the B852 Dalcrag Bridge – Foyers – Inverfarigaig – Dores Road.

The closures are required to enable roadside tree and shrub work to safely proceed.

Access will be maintained for emergency vehicles attending an emergency at the discretion of the works contractor.

Local diversions will be signposted.
