Teenager in Inverness court on theft charges

A 19-year-old has appeared in private at Inverness Sheriff Court in connection with alleged thefts and attempted thefts in the city's Crown and Drummond areas.

Jordan Stewart, from Inverness, faced charges of theft by opening a lockfast vehicle; theft from a motor vehicle, and theft by housebreaking.

He made no plea and was committed for further examination.

He was remanded in custody.
