Our new columnist Diane Knox offers the first of her “weekly musings” from across the Atlantic.
"As an Invernessian (my American friends think this is a made up word) I feel very honoured to be contributing to the newspaper I grew up reading – and the establishment in which I did my high school work experience – a nice “full circle” moment.
When the team asked me to begin my weekly musings to coincide with the launch of the anti-trolling campaign, I started enthusiastically taking notes on my phone."

Hollywood star Karen Gillan has key role in new Inverness design company
Hollywood actress Karen Gillan has set up a design company with a friend in her home city of Inverness.
Loch Lassies Limited was launched by Ms Gillan and Donna Henderson last month.
Both are listed as directors of the private limited company which describes the nature of its business as "specialised design activities".
Inverness Outlanders has said it is "thrilled" to announce that author Diana Gabaldon will speak at its commemoration of 275 years since the Battle of Culloden.
Ms Gabaldon, who wrote the Outlander series of books that inspired the TV series of the same name, used Culloden and the Jacobite uprising as the backdrop to her early novels.

A Highland business has received further recognition for its success with a placing on a list of the 100 UK businesses with the fastest-growing profits.
Gael Force Group, which is based at Merkinch in Inverness, was one of only four Scottish firms to be placed on the Sunday Times BDO Profit Track 100, where it secured 36th place.
The league table ranks Britain's 100 private companies with the fastest-growing profits over their latest three years.

A mobile testing unit opened in Merkinch on Monday after NHS Highland became aware of 45 cases linked to a small cluster at the area’s primary school and also wider family clusters.
