The 2021 Strathpuffer mountain bike event has been cancelled.

Riders who had entered the event, which was scheduled for January 16-17, will be notified by email and offered a spot in the 2022 Puffer.

The Strathpuffer is a 24-hour mountain bike endurance event which takes place in Contin woods near the village of Strathpeffer.

It usually goes ahead in mid-January, with freezing temperatures, 17 hours of darkness and mile upon mile of gruelling terrain.

Mountain bikers can take part in the solo event, attempting to complete as many of the 12.5km laps as possible in the 24 hours, or in pairs or groups of four.
