The Stratherrick Highland Gathering is set to return this summer.

Organiser Caroline Tucker said: "For years there was no summer event up here in the Strath but this is our second annual Highland Gathering and I’m buzzing with expectation. We listened to the feedback from last year’s gathering, so some elements are returning and we are adding some new features.

"Last year, Cheryl Heggie brought some of her Inverness Highland dancers to the Highland Gathering. They made such a positive impression that Cheryl now holds a dancing class in Stratherrick. This year, local dancers will join the troupe to perform at the event."

More vintage vehicles are also expected at the event on July 22.

Catriona Fraser, vice chairwoman of Stratherrick and Foyers Community Trust, said: "The Gathering is a happy and inclusive community event. Everyone is welcome, so it is a chance to meet up with neighbours and old pals or make new ones."

The event runs from noon-4pm at Corriegarth Field.
