Stagecoach cancels almost 50 Inverness bus services over ‘driver sickness’

Driver sickness and availability issues have sparked the cancellation of dozens of bus services in Inverness on Friday, Stagecoach has warned.

Almost 50 individual journeys are cancelled on the numbers one, two and three bus timetables on Friday.

The cancellations include a dozen number two buses (which run between Woodside Village, Queensgate and Craig Dunain), a total of 22 number three services (which run between Oakdene, Queensgate, Academy Street and Craig Dunain, and 12 number one journeys (Dalneigh to Balloch) were affected.

Confirming the cancellations, which feature a mix of early morning, commute, daytime and early evening services, a Stagecoach spokesperson cited "driver sickness" as the main cause, adding: "Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause".
