Wetherspoon’s staff assaulted in Inverness

A 44-year-old Inverness man who assaulted staff in an Inverness bar will be sentenced next month.

Barry Hunter, of Drumossie Road, appeared at Inverness Sheriff Court and admitted the assaults committed in the King's Highway/Wetherspoon, in Church Street, on May 1 last year.

The court heard he struck one employee on the head and attempted to punch him and attempted to butt the second on the head and attempted to punch him also.

Sheriff Gordon Fleetwood immediately called for a background report without hearing the full facts. Hunter will re-appear on March 20 for sentencing.
