Speech and language therapists to provide information about stammering in Inverness
A duo of speech and language therapists will provide information about stammering at a stand in Raigmore Hospital in Inverness tomorrow.
Tracy Robson and Joanne Johnson will be in the outpatients department as part of efforts to mark Stammering Awareness Day – which is on Tuesday.
There will be some merchandise available to buy and a pot for donations to help fundraise for Stamma.org
Councillor John Finlayson said: “I am delighted that awareness is being promoted with regard to this issue and information will be made available to help those who need support with stammering or want to find out more about how to support others including children.
"As an ex-head teacher I am acutely aware of how stammering can affect young people and also how important speech and language therapists are in ensuring the right advice and support is given to those who require it.”
