Inverness man kicked his way into mother’s home
A mother was subjected to more frightening behaviour by her son just days before Christmas last year, 20 months after he held two knives to her throat and threatened to stab her.
Zeke McKnight was appearing for sentence at Inverness Sheriff Court on a number of offences which included forcing entry into his mother's house in Inshes Wood where he was staying at the time by repeatedly kicking and damaging the door.

The 30-year-old, who admitted previous convictions, including one for threatening his mother with a knife in April 2023 for which he was jailed for 19 months, had pleaded guilty to the December 16, 2024 offence.
He also admitted assaulting a police officer by attempting to headbutt him, spit on him and kick him on the head to his injury the following day as well as resisting arrest by lashing out with his arms and legs.
McKnight had committed other offences earlier last year when, on July 27 at a house in Slackbuie he assaulted his partner by pushing her to the ground and the possession of cannabis.
On September 21 at the same address he damaged a TV set, threw items about the property and damaged the wing mirror of his partner's car.
He pleaded guilty to those offences too.
McKnight was placed under three years of social work supervision by Sheriff Sara Matheson who said he must participate in a rehabilitation programme for men who domestically abuse.
But the sheriff warned McKnight that if he didn't fully co-operate he would be brought back to court and sentenced again as if the order had not been made.
