SNP politician Drew Hendry calls for Inverness Caley Thistle to rethink Fife training move decision
SNP election candidate Drew Hendry is joining the chorus of discontent at Caley Thistle’s decision to move its first-team training hub to Fife.
Mr Hendry - who has been the MP for Inverness since 2015 - is calling for a U-turn on the partnership with Kelty Hearts, which was revealed yesterday.

Caley Thistle sent shockwaves through the local football and business communities with the move, saying it was necessary to counter the high cost of accommodation in the city and difficulties in attracting players to Inverness. It came after Inverness’s relegation to League One was confirmed last Saturday.
The ICT board views it as a means to tap into and compete in the central belt player market and attract a better calibre of players, while cutting expenditure substantially in the face of reduced income.
But ICT fans have expressed anger at the move that would mean the squad train more than 130 miles away from the Highland capital.
Mr Hendry said: “Many of you have been in touch regarding the latest development at Inverness Caledonian Thistle FC – understandably in disbelief and frustrated.
“I have written to them to share these sentiments and to urge a rethink of this decision.”
