Performers UK, Inverness presents Matilda the Musical Junior
Senior school members of a city centre performing arts studio are all set to take to the stage this weekend.
Performers UK attendees having been rehearsing for months in order to bring Matilda the Musical Junior to life! They will all take part in three sold-out performances over the coming weekend (11 – 12 February) at the studio on Bank Street.
A description of the musical being performed at Performers UK, said: "Rebellion is nigh in Matilda JR a gleefully witty ode to the anarchy of childhood and the power of Imagination! Roald Dahl's world famous tale is brought to life in that fantastic family musical. Matilda has astonishing wit, intelligence.....and special powers!
"Matilda, a little girl with astonishing wit, intelligence and psychokinetic powers, lives with cruel parents who find her to be a nuisance, a lousy little worm, and a bore. When Matilda enters her first term at school, she captures the attention of Miss Honey, a kind teacher, and the two form a wonderful friendship.
"Unfortunately , the school is ruled by a tempestuous and mean headmistress named Miss Trunchbull, who hates children and delivers cruel and un just punishments to all her charges.
"Matilda is determined to change her story, but will her cleverness and courage be enough to withstand the reign of Miss Trunchbull."
The team at Performers UK have said that they are very excited for this weekend, and that all the team have been working exceptionally hard to make it a weekend to remember!
Performers UK also said on its Facebook: "If you have tickets but can no longer attend the show, please let us know as we have waiting lists for all performances."
