A woman was taken to hospital after her car smashed into a building in Inverness.

The Smart car crashed into the National Tyres and Autocare premises in Harbour Road yesterday afternoon.

The premises is currently closed due to the coronavirus lockdown.

A police spokeswoman said: "We received a report around 3.05pm on Wednesday of a one-vehicle road crash involving a car which struck a building in Harbour Road in Inverness.

"A woman was taken to hospital for treatment though there are no apparent serious injuries."

No-one at the business was available for comment.
