Scotrail services are returning to normal after the Highland route was hit by a signal failure this morning.
The fault at Carrbridge was reported at around 10.30am and replacement bus services to Inverness and Perth were arranged for stranded passengers.
A Scotrail spokesman confirmed that Network Rail Scotland engineers were sent to the scene to repair the signalling issue and that it was fixed by 11am.
He added: "Engineers have fixed the fault and we're working hard to get services back on schedule."
During the signal failure services between Glasgow, Inverness and Edinburgh were either cancelled, delayed or revised.
