Inverness shop worker hit with bottle of Smirnoff Ice day after attacker released from jail
A 21-year-old man was drunk when he entered an Inverness shop after 7am and began pulling items off the shelves.
The staff member asked Nathan Bell, of Oldtown Road, Inverness to stop making a mess or he would call the police.

But Inverness Sheriff Court heard that after Bell left the premises carrying a bottle of Smirnoff Ice, the employee pursued him and asked him to return it.
However it prompted Bell to brandish the bottle and strike the man on the chest with it.
Bell admitted assaulting a retail worker at Station News, in Farraline Park, on September 12, 2023.
Defending, Samantha Morrison said: "This offence was committed the day after he was released from jail. He has had no offending since."
Sherrif Eilidh Macdonald ordered Bell to remain under social work supervision for a year and participate in an offender's rehabilitation programme.
