Police Scotland officers in the Highlands appeal for dashcam footage after thieves break into 'commercial premises' in Fort Augustus and steal cash

DASHCAM footage is being sought by police after thieves broke into a business in Fort Augustus and stole cash.

Police have not said how much was stolen, or named the "commercial premises" in which the break-in occurred – only that it was somewhere on Fort William Road.

The incident occurred sometime between 8.30am on Sunday and 7.30am on Monday.

"We are looking to trace those responsible and anyone with information about this incident, or anyone who was driving in the Fort Augustus area between the times in question with dashcam footage is asked to contact police via 101 quoting the incident number 0491 of 24 February," said a police spokesman.

"Alternatively Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously on 0800 555 111."
