An Inverness teenager who threatened police has been ticked off by a sheriff.

Stephen Dick (19) admitted behaving in a threatening manner at his Anderson Court flat on June 12.

Sheriff Eilidh Macdonald granted him bail this week and deferred sentence to August 18 for a background report.

However, she warned Dick, who appeared via video link at Inverness Sheriff Court, that he would return to custody if he breached his bail conditions.

She told him: “You are behaving like an idiot. Bail conditions are there for a reason.”
