Aberdeen teen locked up after unruly behaviour in Inverness
A group of unruly young men and women being disruptive in Inverness city centre led to a 19-year-old woman being arrested for drunken behaviour.
Inverness Sheriff Court heard that officers were dispatched to the scene on August 29 and Jessica Green, now living in Rosehill Drive, Aberdeen, had an open bottle of Buckfast.
Fiscal depute Sophie Marshall told Sheriff Gary Aitken: "It was retrieved by officers but she began shouting and swearing and was taken into custody.
"She refused to be searched at Burnett Road Police Station and while she was sitting on a bench she swung a fist at a constable and hit her on the face.
"She was then taken to the ground."
Just over a week later, Green was again in trouble with the law, Sheriff Aitken was told.

Ms Marshall added: "It was about 7.05pm on September 6, police on foot patrol saw Green on the Greig Street Bridge but she was subject to a 7pm bail curfew.
"Officers gave chase and stopped her in Huntly Street but as they tried to handcuff her, she tensed her body and was taken to the ground to be safely handcuffed."
Green previously admitted charges of police assault, resisting arrest, threatening behaviour and breach of bail. Sentence was deferred for a background report.
Defence solicitor Laura-Jane McFarlane said: "It is a fairly positive report on her current community payback order. When she returns to Inverness her behaviour escalates.
"She has been on remand since September 9 and, unusually, she wants further time in custody because it gives her stability. She behaves well in that environment. However she will need support on her release."
Sheriff Aitken sentenced Green to nine months detention on the most recent incident, backdated to September 9 and placed her on a two-year community payback order with supervision on the August offences.
