A grandfather from Inverness was surprised when he was walking with his grandson and they stumbled across a load of sex toys which had been dumped on a footpath just off the A96.

Craig Short (63), who is a Smithton resident, had just passed a gate on the footpath next to Barn Church Road when he made the shocking discovery.

As well as half a dozen toys, he said there was also a dumped container with associated accessories.

He said: "I was taking my grandson to Tesco and we had just gone over the fence. To be honest it's just not the sort of thing you expect to see there. I am not shocked – it is more comical really."
