Severe delays reported amid traffic congestion on the Kessock Bridge and into Inverness

Drivers are experiencing significant congestion approaching Inverness southbound across the Kessock Bridge towards Longman roundabout.

AA Scotland is reporting “severe” and increasing delays on A9 Southbound between A9 and A82 Longman Road (Longman Roundabout), with average speed 10 mph.

Others reports suggest traffic has been at a standstill.

Motorists are being advised to avoid the route if possible, although traffic is flowing freely in a northbound direction.
