Dementia patients are enjoying "twiddle muffs" after a kind donation from the Rotary Club.

The Rev Anthony Jones, parish minister for Fort Augustus and Glengarry churches, handed over the knitted sensory aids to the Telford Centre in Fort Augustus on behalf of Lochaber Rotary Club.

Rev Jones said: "As the church parish minister and, on behalf of the Rotary Club of Lochaber, a batch of ‘twiddle muffs’ was donated to the Telford Centre at Fort Augustus.

"The colourful muffs were made by creative people from all over the region during lockdown. They are of particular comfort to those residents at the centre who are suffering from dementia.

"It was a pleasure to present the muffs and the response from the public has been terrific!"
