The scene has been set ahead of the second instalment of the Black Isle Belter festival set to take place this weekend.

Peat and Diesel’s Black Isle Belter music festival is set to return for it’s second year this week, taking place at the Black Isle Showground on May 3 and 4.

The line-up for Saturday is Alabama 3, Trail West and RuMac. The Sunday family day line-up consists of Scouting for Girls, The Farm and Valtos. The three-piece Stornoway band will also be headlining both nights, as their only Highland gigs this year.

Last year, the festival attracted 10,000 people over the weekend.

Peat and Diesel said: “Three more sleeps!! Black Isle Belter is nearly upon us, we really can't wait! Loads of bands, food, drink and fun for all the family....Oh, not forgetting the beautiful weather.

“Leave the car at home — we have some shuttle bus tickets left from Inverness and Dingwall too.”

Tickets are still available for the event.
