More Inverness neighbourhoods are being added to Santa's sleigh route as he continues his socially-distanced tours around the city.

The sight of Santa as he travels through residential areas on his illuminated sleigh is delighting people of all ages.

His timetable is now being extended to include a tour of Dalneigh on Saturday and Lochardil on Sunday. Residents in those areas are urged to look out for him between 4pm and 6pm.

It is being made possible thanks to the Inverness Culloden Rotary Club.

As well as spreading festive cheer, Santa and his elves are also collecting donations for good causes.

Due to coronavirus rules, he is unable to stop to speak to youngsters but will travelling slowly to enable photographs to be taken as he passes.

Sleigh times in Dalneigh on Saturday:

4pm to 4.25pm – Trafford Avenue, Balnacraig Road, Fairfield Road, Hawthorn Drive, Limetree Avenue, Rowan Road, St Mary's Avenue; 4.25pm to 4.50pm – St Johns Avenue, Margaret's Road, St Ninian Drive, St Valery Avenue; 4.50pm to 5.30pm – Bruce Gardens, Laurel Avenue, Caledonian Road, Columba Road, Dalneigh Road; 5.30pm to 6pm – Dochfour Drive, Fairfield Road, Balnacraig Road, Trafford Avenue.

The times are approximate and people can also check on the rotary club's Facebook page for any updates.
