An off-sales licence for Moonshine in the newly refurbished Market Hall of the Victorian Market in Inverness seems set to be approved.

Highland Licensing Board will consider a report to members regarding the Moonshine outlet at the market food hall on Tuesday.

The report details how applicant Matt Macpherson has traded for several months on occasional licences without issue.

The licensing standards officer also reports that: Mr Macpherson is experienced in the licensing trade having successfully run the nearby Malt Room; the application meets the standards of the five licensing objectives; and, during public consultation on the application no objections or representations were received by the licensing board.

As well as selling drinks to take away from the premises, Moonshine is popular as it allows people using the hall to have a wine or beer with food bought at other outlets.
