A man who had regular rows with his neighbours has been fined £840.

Craig Lamont (42), formerly of Kirkhill but now living in Millcroft Road, Cumbernauld, admitted behaving in a threatening manner on June 28 and August 2 last year.

The first incident involved a complaint of him playing loud music in Aird Crescent.

Inverness Sheriff Court heard that he had been asked to turn it down but refused, and then began shouting and swearing.

The second incident saw him threaten a police constable when officers called to speak to him.

The court was told he threatened to “exterminate” the officer.
