Rocpool becomes latest Inverness restaurant to close doors after Scottish Government introduces tougher coronavirus measures

The Rocpool restaurant in Inverness is to close for the duration of new restrictions introduced in response to the Covid-19 pandemic.
In an announcement this evening on their Facebook page the restaurant said: "Following yesterday’s announcement by the Scottish Govt of more restrictions on the hospitality trade we are sad to announce that we will be temporarily closing our doors from this Saturday the 10th October at 6pm until Monday the 26th October.
"We are very sorry to all those guests who have had bookings cancelled in such an abrupt fashion.
"We have really enjoyed having you all back in the restaurant, the wonderful feedback & great teamwork has been very humbling ......thankyou!
"We are only going to be apart for 15 days, so keep safe & we will hopefully see you all soon."
The restaurant's website will remain active for future bookings or queries.
This evening the Rose Street Foundry in Academy Street also announced it kill be closed until spring next year.
"With the most recent restrictions and anticipated future restrictions, it has become unviable for us to continue in this economic climate," the team there said.
Number 27 bar and restaurant in Castle Street has also announced it will close until the end of the month.
